Detailed Itinerary
Casablanca arrival
Land at Mohammed V Airport. Transfer to hotel. Evening visit to Hassan II Mosque (exterior) and the Corniche.
Casablanca → Oualidia → Essaouira
Drive south past El Jadida. Stop at Oualidia's lagoon for a famous oyster tasting. Continue to the whitewashed Atlantic port city of Essaouira.
Essaouira full day
Explore the UNESCO-listed medina: the spice souk, the fishing port, argan oil cooperatives and the windswept beach. Optional kite-surfing.
Essaouira → Marrakech
Morning drive back to Marrakech (2.5 h). Afternoon exploring Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs and the dyers souk.
Marrakech day 2
YSL Majorelle Garden, the Mellah, a traditional hammam, and the Jemaa el-Fna evening circus of storytellers, musicians and food stalls.
Marrakech → Aït Benhaddou
Cross Tizi n'Tichka (2 260 m). Overnight in a kasbah-style hotel near Aït Benhaddou (UNESCO).
Aït Benhaddou → Todra → Merzouga
Drive the Draa Valley, detour through Todra Gorge (300 m rock walls). Arrive Merzouga for a camel sunset and luxury desert camp.
Merzouga → Ifrane → Fes
Sunrise dunes, then drive north through cedar forests and Ifrane. Arrive Fes for an evening medina walk.
Fes full day
Deep dive: Al-Attarine Madrasa, Chouara tanneries, the brass-workers souk, and a cooking class option.
Fes → Chefchaouen → End
Morning drive to Chefchaouen. Wander the blue-painted alleyways, the kasbah gardens and the main plaza. Depart or overnight.
